This blog has been silent for awhile and you've no idea how many times I wanted to post something but didn't get around to it simply because I'm too busy now that we are homeschooling. When my daughter was still in school I usually have one hour to do some personal stuff like working on my art while the baby nap. Now that she is home, my morning has been full with teaching and doing stuff with her. I hardly have time for myself and I'm lucky if I have 30 minutes after everyone goes to bed at night, like now. Hmmm...so I have to prioritize. Being with my kids are important to me so I decided to forego my 'me' time in the morning and right after lunch in the afternoon. I spend more time reading to them these days and I guess I have to accept that this is my new normal. So, do I still devote time for art? Well yes, just not as much time as I used to...like 15-30 minutes per day kind of thing. It sounds pathetic but the little ones are still very much depend on me now and I have to make use of my time to be with them...they grow up so fast and someday when they are older (school age) I can have all the time I want to do all the things I want.
So back to art. What have I done lately? Not much. I decided not to participate in the
coloring contest because I couldn't squeeze time to do it...maybe some other time. But I did manage to complete this new piece. I have been wanting to use oil pastels on my art and this is the result. I like it? Do you?
